EPHEMERAL INSTALLATIONS

Garo's art deals with highly emotional and topical subjects. He has also tried to redefine the spatial layout of his expression, both by managing the arrangement and the correspondences between his works, which are often placed in space in a non-traditional way, but his search for materiality has sometimes led him to translate his expression onto other media such as wood, which he loves to carve out to create large engravings, or sometimes metal. The treatment of the flat surface, reworked and then interwoven with other planes, creates a setting in volume that touches on sculpture, which is how some of his works oscillate between an installation, an engraving, a spatial painting and a sculpture.
